Many times people may think that how I currently eat is restrictive. They may ask “what do you eat”. I always reply everything!
The way I use to eat was actually restricting me. It was restricting my taste buds, causing cravings that made it harder for me to avoid the foods I knew were not good for me.
I look at all the wonderful food I can eat. I don’t look at it as being restrictive. Eating this way has given me more freedom than I could have ever imagine.
Currently, my focus has been on eating more greens, eating only when I am truly hungry and without distractions. Without distraction is not eating in front of the TV, looking at my phone or pad or reading. I try to really enjoy and taste the food I have in front of me. I am not always successful at this but it’s a work in progress.
I have been on a Protective Diet for about 20 months. Protective Diet is a whole food plant base diet that eliminates oils, sugars, nuts & food additives
This was last night’s dinner! Does this look like I am restricting? Let me know if you give it a try.
