I decided to document the practice of eating when hungry and stopping when full for 30 days. I like to call it mindful eating. Mindful is consciously being aware of something. I am consciously paying attention to what my stomach and body are telling me.
I look forward to lunch time at work. Siting enjoying my food and looking out the window. It’s not the best view but I can see the planes ascend into the sky as they leave the nearby Airport. I try to focus on how my food tastes, the textures and how my stomach feels. I am beginning to realize more and more how much food I really need. It does not take much to be full. I do eat snacks. I just listen to my stomach. It lets me know when my body needs nourishment. When I am eating a snack I just eat it without distractions for the most part.
