I had a family member visit from out of town. I was able to share some of my favorite recipes with her. It was a wonderful weekend!
She enjoyed the food and has already started to implement some of the things we talked about. I am excited to see the changes that will occur for her and her family.
Some of the items we had were: baked chips, chili, spinach Lasagna, house mayo, garlicy dill pickles, chia strawberry (blueberry) jam, french onion dip, banana, chocolate & blueberry bread (muffins), pickled peppers, house mayo, firm cheese, yogurt, oven baked pancakes.
She is excited to start her veggie broth bag. I also showed her the herbs that have been in the fridge for 9 days. I used the same technique from the video below but put the parsley in a plastic zip lock bag. I usually use a plastic container which has lasted at least two weeks sometimes longer. Thought I would try the plastic bag this time. Will have to see how long they last.
We also went out to eat. There was always something to choose from. One of the restaurants was a Brazilian Steakhouse. As you can see from the photo below I did not go hungry. The last photo is the 9 day old parsley.
